Kanisa Incorporated Selects Pangea Consulting
San Jose, California, March 1, 2001 - Pangea Consulting, an organization specializing in IT Consulting and system integration has been selected by Kanisa, Inc. to assist with IT infrastructure planning and data center design as part of their corporate relocation to a larger site on Stevens Creek Blvd in Cupertino, California.
Pangea Consulting will provide the architecture for a new copper and fiber cable plant distributing service to over 200 new switched Gigabit and Fast Ethernet workstations. The new IT infrastructure will provide corporate users and development engineers a high speed, fault-tolerant computing environment with increased security and performance.
"I selected Pangea based on my previous experience with their consulting work," said Gary Merrick, IT Director for Kanisa. "Prior to joining Kanisa, I was an IT manager at another Silicon Valley company and they had been working with Pangea for years. Pangea gave us alternative designs and assisted us every step of the way including preparing the RFQ and going to all those construction meetings."
Michael Tharenos, President of Pangea Consulting, was pleased with the selection and added, "They were up against some pretty tight deadlines and were growing so fast they needed more space right away. We had to get circuits moved and plans drawn up ASAP."
Pangea Consulting will be using the project to showcase Cisco Layer 3 switching fabrics with redundant internet connectivity. Kanisa is looking to utilize these new systems to fuel their growth in taking on more customers and reducing their time-to-deployment of new campaigns.
Founded in 1990, Pangea Consulting is an organization specializing in IT consulting, support and system administration.
