Current Opportunities

Unix/Linux Consultant/System Administrator (Job Ref:#200)

Responsibilities
You will be challenged to recommend and set up advanced server architectures including VPN, Solaris/Checkpoint firewalls, and Apache based Web server farms. You will work with clients to perform needs assessments, resource allocations, develop implementation plans and execute them. You will be called upon to establish and implement best practices in tape backup systems, X-windows, Openwindows, and remote access including telnet/SSH.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have solid experience in designing and implementing Unix neworking environments (Solaris, Linux, HP/UX) and server farms. Experience should include a solid understanding of BIND/DNS, Sendmail, DHCP, NIS and NFS. Candidates should have a thorough knowledge and experience with Sun hardware. Windows NT/2000 Server experience a plus. Santa Clara County, CA/US residents only.

Senior Network Consultant/Engineer (Job Ref:#300)

Responsibilities
Work with other Pangea consultants to design and implement TCP/IP and Netbios networks. You will be called upon to establish and implement firewalls, Internet connectivity and Web server load balancers. You should have a thorough understanding of RIP and OSPF. You must be able to setup WANs including Frame-Relay, DS1, DS3, ISDN, ADSL, and dial-on-demand networking. BGP experience will ensure a closer look. You will be challenged to setup and recommend advanced firewall and fault-tolerant server farm architectures. You will be called upon to establish NAT, PAT, and VPN technologies and to deploy Voice over IP solutions and Multicast technologies. Knowledge of ATM technologies a plus.

Qualifications
Experience should include a solid understanding of routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, WINS, and SNMP. You should have a thorough knowledge and experience with Cisco routers and switches. Strong network analysis skills including a thorough understanding of protocols and the ability to use Sniffers and SNMP management tools are a must. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, is a plus. IPX/SPX and Appletalk experience a plus. Santa Clara County, CA/US residents only.

Windows Consultant/Engineer (Job Ref:#100)

Responsibilities
You will be challenged to setup and recommend advanced server architectures including Citrix/Windows Terminal Server, VPN, NT/Checkpoint firewalls, and IIS based Web server farms. You will be called upon to establish and implement best practices in tape backup systems, anti-virus, remote access including PC-Anywhere, software distribution including SMS and Ghost.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have solid experience in designing and implementing Microsoft Windows networking environments (NT/2000, Win9x) and server farms. Experience should include a solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, WINS, NT Domains, and Active Directory. Candidates should have a thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Exchange.
