Pangea Consulting Completes Another Windows 2000 Installation
San Jose, California, January 24, 2001 - Pangea Consulting, an organization specializing in IT Consulting and system integration, announced today the completion of a rollout of Windows 2000 Professional at Ross Marketing Associates.
"We were looking to deploy a new Lotus Notes system company wide and realized that our desktop systems and Windows 98 operating system just weren't going to provide us the reliability we needed," said Lon Hudson, President of Ross Marketing Associates. "Pangea Consulting got us a great deal on Pentium 3 computers and had us up and running on Windows 2000 Professional shortly after the arrival of the computers."
According to Michael Tharenos, President and CEO of Pangea Consulting, "Windows 2000 sales are starting to take off. We are forecasting that many companies will upgrade from Windows 95/98 on the desktop to Windows 2000 Professional during the first half of 2001. Active Directory deployments and Windows 2000 servers won't be far behind."
Pangea Consulting is working closely with Microsoft prepare for the surge in companies making the upgrades. Pangea engineers have been completing Microsoft certified training on Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000 over the past several months.
